NEW YORK COMMON IFR ROOM 1976

Mr. Scolnick's service at the NYCIFRR began in 1969 and continued until 1978 when he transferred to Harrisburg Tower, Pa. as a line supervisor. He was fully certified in the JFK sector and partially certified in Newark and Laguardia sectors. He also worked as a staff specialist. He returned to the NY TRACON in 1982 for a short period and was fully certified in the Islip sector.
Mr Scolnick has also been operationally certified at Cleveland ARTCC, Cleveland Tower, Harrisburg and Allentown Tracons, and Lancaster and Capital City Towers. He retired from the FAA and active air traffic control duties May 2004.

Harvey Scolnick served 37 years in the FAA's Air Traffic Service. He also served as an Air Traffic control Specialist in the US Air Force from 1961 to 1965. His experience includes ratings in ARTCC, TRACON/Approach Control, and VFR Tower. He has held various positions including line supervision and facility staff and management. A respected air traffic controller in facilities such as the New York TRACON ,he is an expert on facility operations and procedures in all ATC options. He has a unique understanding of Labor/Management issues.
Mr Scolnick resides in Lancaster Pa. He is available for service as an expert witness and as a consultant regarding the U.S. National Airspace System.
